Books that moved me
Far too many to mention but Lame Deer, Seeker of Visions comes to mind as a favorite. To curl up and listen to Lame Deer tell
his story filled me with emotion. I could hear his voice as if he were an elder sitting next to me sharing his wisdom with me.
Crazy Horse - Strange Man of the Oglala by Mari Sandoz is a favorite as well. Her telling is gripping and inspiring. As I read from it to my father as I was holding space for his spirit during his recent illness, her cadence and truth gave him something to latch onto and reminded him of the warrior ways and led him through to the other side of his delirium. I give much credit to her storytelling abilities.

I am married and have been for 22 years. I am a Mom of 5 children ages 17 - 21.
I enjoy crafting, gardening, and hiking at a nearby nature preserve, though I have to really pace myself.
I am Bear clan and a member of the red winged messengers. I live surrounded by what I love and work each day to make the Great Spirit proud of my walk on Mother Earth.
I am currently back to writing and other things I had had to leave for a spell here and there while life issues monopolized my time.
